Additional Information

 

This week your child will begin a new school-wide program called RTII.  The last 1/2 hour of every school day, your child will be working on skills to strengthen their reading ability. The students will be assign to various teachers in the second grade wing to work on specific skills.  The groupings and teacher assignments will change throughout the year. So, if your child comes home and tells you he/she had a different teacher for part of day, they DO know what they are talking about!

Thursday - September 5th
     Math - Complete worksheet 1.5 ( both sides)
    Reading - Complete worksheet on vocabulary words
    Reminder - Tomorrow is school picture day.  Please send in the completed form and payments if you would like to order pictures.  Although today is gym day, students should not wear gym clothing, but school dress code approved apparel for the school pictures.

Friday - September 6th
     Phonics/Spelling - Your child's first spelling list is in the spelling section of their HORSE folder.  You may review the words but please do not remove the sheet until after we have tested on these words. Homework on these words will begin on Monday.
